I lived in Casco Viejo for a year, and it’s still one of my favorite places in Panama City. On this private guided walk, I’ll show you the Casco I came to know: beautiful plazas and restored buildings, quieter corners, spectacular views across the bay – but also what it’s actually like to live in a UNESCO World Heritage neighborhood.
And because Panama and coffee belong together, coffee is an essential part of the experience. This isn’t a history lecture or a standard sightseeing tour. It’s a relaxed introduction to Casco Viejo, Panamanian coffee, and everyday life in one of Panama City’s most fascinating neighborhoods.

How It Works
1. I PICK YOU UP
I’ll pick you up at your hotel in Panama City, and we’ll head to Casco Viejo together.
2. We Explore
Once in Casco, we’ll start with a little personal context: what it was like for me to actually live here, not just visit. From there, we’ll walk through some of my favorite parts of the neighborhood.
Along the way, I’ll show you the beautiful side of Casco, but also some of the realities behind it: restoration, tourism, noise, short-term rentals, and what everyday life in the historic district can feel like.
3. We drink coffee
Coffee gets more than a quick mention on this tour. There’s a relaxed coffee stop along the way, followed later by a more in-depth coffee experience where you can learn more about Panamanian coffee from a local expert – and, of course, taste it.
4. I TAKE YOU BACK TO YOUR HOTEL
After our time in Casco Viejo, I’ll drive you back to your hotel in Panama City, with plenty of photos, a taste of Panamanian coffee, and a more personal sense of Casco Viejo. The entire experience, including pickup and drop-off, takes approximately 3.5 hours.

There is no cancellation fee if you cancel before the tour begins.
